LBO (Leveraged Buyout)
Financial Statements
A leveraged buyout happens when a company is bought using mostly borrowed money (loans). The company being bought often has to pay back this debt with its own assets or future earnings. This method is used to take control of companies without spending a lot of upfront cash. It can be risky because if the company doesn’t make enough money, it may struggle to pay off the debt.
